T2 Cold Brew Tea and Cold Yoga Session

Cold Brew Tea has become increasingly popular over the last few years and whether that is down to more products on the market or the many given health benefits of Cold brew. It turns out that steeping your tea for 3-12 hours instead of 5 minutes, can reduce caffeine intake and be a lot smoother to taste as the flavour is slowly extracted over hours.

T2 Tea invited me to a Tea tasting and Cold Yoga Session at Dig Me Fitness over in Covent Garden (courtesy of Ready Media). They went out of their way and organised Prestige Cars to pick me up to ensure I would be on time for the event. When I first arrived, I was greeted by some lovely staff and then directed over to the Yoga Room where the session was going to be held. Walking in, we all had our own complimentary yoga mat with a box full of goodies and sanitising spray.

The session was held by the amazing Sarah Malcolm who specialises in Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, Slow Flow and Meditation. She frequently runs classes at Dig Me and online.

At 24, she was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, which massively transformed her lifestyle and began her journey into taking care of her body as a whole and living more mindfully.

This Cold Yoga class has been proven to have multiple health benefits. Whilst heat discourages movement, cooler temperatures encourage movement and working out in a cooler environment might help you mentally engage more with your workout, as well as improving your endurance and recovery.

The session was held with us in the dark, surrounded by loads of candle lights and soothing music, whilst cold air was blown into the room. However, with the number of stretches and exercises we did, it was very easy for our body temperature to rise up and for us to get warmer. Exposing your body to the cold helps release endorphins or “happy hormones” and after the session, I was more than rejuvenated.

Initial warm-up breathing exercises

We were then able to taste some of the amazing flavours that T2 Tea has to offer. Their new Cold Brew range has multiple different tastes to choose from, like Mango Mint, Peach Berry and Citrus Zing. Not to mention that all their range is Sustainably sourced, Caffeine-free and full of natural ingredients. Each flavour was bursting with a gorgeous aroma and even better taste. Mango mint was refreshing with bursts of tangy Tropical top notes and a delicate mint taste that doesn’t overpower the other subtle flavours. There was also a slight taste of ginger that I am not a fan of, but I am a big fan of fruits. Peach Berry was flavourful and fresh with hints of hibiscus and rosehip but strong tastes of Peaches sweetness. The last flavour Citrus Zing was zesty with lemon tones and delicately white hibiscus finish – all rounded out subtle tones of thyme and even though there is no sugar in these cold brew teas, I was able to taste the strong sweetness of the fruits. These are teas that I appreciate cold and now that I am back into my routine, I quench my thirst with these teas, after a quick Gym or Swim session, regularly.

“An easy brew that will provide you with a fresh and fruity sip any day of the year”- T2 Tea

As a part of the event, we received a gorgeous grazing box, full of amazing fruits and snacks from Artisan Cookery, which specialises in Creative Buffets, Boxed Catering and Hampers. The box was fantastic and was filled with yummy veg and bright fruits, that almost looks too good not to eat.

Founded by husband-and-wife duo James and Lianne, Each pair of Monkey Sox is made with activity in mind. The difference to other socks is the left does not match the right. They’re designed to mirror how the body acts and feels differently left to right for those living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS).

Dallaglio Rugby Works delivers a long-term programme to teenagers who sit outside mainstream education to ensure they achieve sustained education, employment, or training.  And much of their work over the past 10 years has been powered by two wheels.  Over five Dallaglio Cycle Slams, their supporters have cycled over 540,000km around Europe raising millions of pounds for our programme.

I was delighted to be invited to this event, it was an amazing experience being able to do my first Cold Yoga Session as opposed to regular yoga which I practise every week, then to also try some gorgeous, new, healthy drinks!

Did you know that T2’s Cold Brew drinks are the perfect alternative for someone who does not drink water and can also make an amazing mocktail base?

I personally struggle with drinking water and I have found that drinking T2’s Cold Brew has maximised my water intake significantly.

The work over at Dig Me is incredible and I am not surprised that T2 was thrilled to use this space for the event. With both partners being advocates for Planet friendliness and wanting to help people achieve their health goals, they are a match made in heaven.
