Located in the core of the city’s most prestigious location, settled in between designer boutiques and a multitude of affluent stores and buildings, lays the impressive restaurant named Isabel’s.

Isabel’s is known for residing within a building dating back to 1905- One of the finest representations of beaux-arts inspired architecture that was popular at the time and is still appreciated by many to this day.

Recently, I decided to visit Isabel’s to see what their brunch had to offer and I can say it was rather spectacular. As you walk along Albemarle Street, you are able to see the marvelling golden doors of Isabel’s, which is a cordial welcome into the captivating Edwardian building.

Sundays at Isabel’s provide you with an exclusive menu just for the day. It has a diverse selection of tasty brunch dishes to choose from- From stacked pancakes to Eggs Florentine, there was a bunch to choose from.

Not only was their exclusive Sunday menu amazing but they also provided us with a Sunday Brunch cocktail list! If you are looking for an opulent setting to catch up with friends, Isabel’s is the place!

On Sundays, they have a charming quintet Latin band overlooking the restaurant- Creating such a profound and comfortable ambience with their alluring Latin American melodies.

To get started, for my drink I went for a virgin mojito which was a refreshing start to my meal. There is a range of speciality drinks on the menu also, alcoholic or non, there is an extensive selection to pick from.

For food, my friend opted for their delicious eggs royale which is a soft English muffin layered with smoked salmon, poached eggs and rich hollandaise sauce (not to forget the dill sprigs that are eloquently resting on top.)

The dish was delicious and was such a great start to brunch. From the creaminess of the hollandaise to the soft poached egg that melts in your mouth, it was probably one of the best Egg Royales I have had, to this day.

My other guests decided to go for stacked pancakes with berries and ham and cheese sandwiches. Both said their food was great and they thoroughly enjoyed their meal at Isabel’s. The staff were on-hand when required and gave us the most incredible dining experience.

I personally decided to try one of their sweeter options and got their granola that came served with a pot of natural yoghurt. The granola was delicious and super crunchy and paired perfectly with the yoghurt.

Lastly, my friend and I decided to share one dessert together, so we opted for the ‘Champagne poached pear with hazelnut’ and it was a delightful way to conclude our meal. The dish was flavoursome and very sweet. The combined flavours were absolutely exquisite.

Isabel’s has such an extensive range of brunch classics, mains and desserts, you will be spoilt for choice. If you are looking for a lavish setting to catch up with friends or somewhere lush to indulge in an appetising meal, Isabel’s is your best bet and you will definitely be blown away by the overall experience.

From the elaborately decorated setting with such a luxurious ambience to the extensive menu that is overflowing with amazing dishes and drinks, Isabel’s is an eminent place to go visit for Brunch when in Mayfair.

I will definitely be visiting Isabel’s Mayfair again in the future!
