On 26th November the newly opened Hawksmoor Guildhall restaurant hosted a spectacular one-off feast, cooked up by a Dream Team of top chefs. This fundraising dinner raised just under £35,000 for Action Against Hunger, an incredible sum that will make a huge difference to their work.
The night started with a Champagne Taittinger Reception and the chance for guests to check out our exciting collection of auction lots. Guests were treated to a sumptuous five-course feast cooked up by Hawksmoor’s Head Chef Richard Turner, Matt Laville of Pollen Street Social, Jun Tanaka of Pearl and Street Kitchen, Valentine Warner of Coast to Coast and What to Eat Now and Judy Joo of Iron Chef, during which they took part in our innovative silent auction on iPads.
Sponspor: Champagne Taittinger which has supported Action Against Hunger for over a decade and continued this support by sponsoring the Champagne Taittinger Reception at the Hawksmoor Dream Team Dinner.
To help making the night such a success (and amongst many other participating brands) our Flawless brand KITOKO donated to Action Against Hunger a bespoke suit as one of the prices which was auctioned for £1,750! As 90 pence of every pound raised goes directly to Action Against Hunger programmes and services, the funds raised by all donations will be put to good use. Action Against Hunger work in over 40 countries, including Kenya, Somalia, Ethiopia and Djibouti, where people are in desperate need of food distributions and livelihood support during the current food crisis.
Well done and a great thank you Action Against Hunger for their initiative and of course to Benjamin Kitoko, the mastermind behind the eponymous menswear label KITOKO!!!
