With September in full swing and it being one of the busiest times for many of us, I was fortunate to find I was invited to visit the launch of the new multi-site venue in the heart of Shoreditch. The Viaduct is a brand new venue that offers a 360-degree experience encompassing innovative food, drink and cocktails.
The rigorously designed space offers a welcoming, industrial-style vibe and is made up of 3 sections; A fresh and open-spaced restaurant, an authentic and friendly tap room and a mystical and opulent Cocktail Lounge. With 3 different settings in one building, the Viaduct is the perfect place to spend the day; You can work in the restaurant throughout the day and you can head to the Cocktail lounge at night (Definitely a remote worker’s dream.)
The idea of the Viaduct is to encompass ‘all aspects of a traditional experience to create a unique space that blends three different moods and identities all under one roof’ and I can say that this was certainly achieved and excelled my expectations.
Despite the whole venue being very industrial, each space catapults you into a completely different reality. The cocktail lounge, which is called Cosmos, really is the epitome of relaxation and elegance. Whilst the exposed brick is still visible, this space was exceptionally beautiful; With gorgeous deep blue decor and stunning gold accents, the Cosmos Cocktail Lounge is the perfect place to unwind and indulge in an opulent setting. Perfect for meeting up after work or a romantic evening with your beau, Cosmos is a spectacular setting that is great for any occasion.
Cosmos have a cosy but exuberant setting so what better place to go to unwind? With a large variety of different cocktails and beverages to choose from, Cosmos is the perfect place to be.
The second room of the Viaduct is their tap room called Tap, which is a collaboration with E1 Brew Co. A super relaxed and comfortable setting that mixes exposed brick architecture with fabulous hand-crafted beers and drinks, the Tap is the perfect location if you are looking to cosy up in a corner to work or grab a drink, as it provides a warm, intimate feel for visitors. There was a fabulous range of lagers and craft beers on offer from E1 Brew Co; One drink that I tried was their CBD lager and it was fantastic.
Perfect for casual meet-ups or solo visits- The tap room delivers an amiable setting to relax and have a breather, whilst also offering a terrific selection of craft beers! Not to forget that their staff are absolutely amazing- Super friendly and always willing to go the extra mile!
You are also able to dine in their taproom, which is awesome. Offering a wide range of small plates and a few different burgers and main options to choose from, you don’t have to worry about moving rooms to grab a bite to eat, which is fabulous if you are always working on your laptop!
Lastly, we have their restaurant, “Arch” which transforms an industrial section of the Viaduct into a relaxed but chic setting, which is perfect for casual dining. The restaurant has a light and airy setting which is perfect if you don’t want to feel enclosed alongside an adjoining terrace, making it perfect to get some fresh air whilst also indulging in delicious food.
The nature-inspired paintings and decor bring a contemporary, vibrant feel to the restaurant and make it the perfect setting to grab a bite to eat or meet up with friends. Amongst the many paintings on the wall, there is even a world-famous original Banksy painting, which is another very good reason why you should visit.
Arch has many different dishes to offer; Serving up delicious brunch classics all day like ShakShuka and Full English and Main dishes like Seabass and Pork Belly, there is also a wide range of small plates; Buffalo Wings and Patatas Bravas to name a few.
If you are out and about in Shoreditch anytime soon and are looking for a vibrant place to visit, make sure to go to the Viaduct. Whether you are looking for a space to work or you’re going to meet up with friends, whatever it is, The Viaduct has everything you have been looking for in a venue!
